GOVERNOR'S RESIDENCE
EXHIBITION
POSTMARK DEADLINE: MAY 31, 2008
The Governor's Residence Exhibition Program, managed by the Nebraska Arts Council, seeks two-dimensional visual artists for its 2008-2009 exhibition season.
Located on the lower level of the Nebraska Governor's Residence in the state capital, this venue hosts ongoing monthly solo exhibitions of resident Nebraska artists.
The artist must be a Nebraska resident, 21 years of age or older and not enrolled in a degree-granting program.
The artwork must be two-dimensional (paintings, drawings, prints or photos).
The subject matter of the work must be suitable for display in the Governor's Residence.
The artist must assume all costs for matting, framing, transporting and installing his or her work in the Residence.

JOSLYN ART MUSEUM
Joslyn is a non-profit, cultural and educational environment - provides a variety of experiences for someone interested in volunteering. The Museum offers several options, diverse in program type and commitment level. Many volunteer opportunities present the opportunity to enrich your enjoyment of the visual arts as well as increase your knowledge of the museum world. In addition, you will make new friends and receive many intangible rewards while performing a valuable service to Joslyn Art Museum.

OMAHA COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE
Volunteers serve as box office workers, osts, users, technicians, performers, costumers, carpenters, painters, and stage crews. Volunteers are placed according to their interest experience ad availability and the teater's needs. Click HERE for a volunteer interest form.
Superior Estates Winery, a premier Nebraska vineyard and winery, seeks entries for its first annual art exhibit and label competition. The exhibit will hang at the winery from May 15 through June 30. This coincides with Superior’s best-attended community event, the Lady Vestey Victorian Festival, which occurs over the Memorial Day weekend. One piece will become the first label in our newly-established Artist Series. Art entries must be received at the winery no later than Saturday, May 10, 2008 in order to be arranged for the exhibit.
