Every stage of my life has had art in it in one form or another. From coloring purple cows as a child to joining Omaha Artists, Inc. as a retired person, I have been involved with the process of painting. Many marvelous teachers throughout the years have patiently guided my hand. The information found in art books is overwhelming. Thanks to the encouragement of family and friends, I continue to enjoy the painting experience.
Acrylic is my primary choice of medium. But thanks to my weekly art group I have delved into the area of watercolors. I have visited many art museums and realize that art truly is an individualistic activity. As they say, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.
I taught school for many years, and always ejoyed incorporating art into all of the subjects. A native of Evanston, Illinois, I moved with my family to Omaha about twenty-five years ago. Joslyn Art Museum, the Hot Shops, the Bemis Center, etc. offer opporutnities for all of us to experience art in all its forms.
